Poking holes in the sky, one rocket at a time.
CJ flew his first custom designed rocket; a split fin design that attracted some attention. “Is that a two stager?” It flew well on a D12-5, and higher than expect considering the size of the fins. It helped that they were perfectly aligned. It came down softly on the nylon flare parachute I got off Ebay for a buck, but on the second flight, the chute didn’t deploy and the fuselage augured in. It crimped the top 3 inches but we decided to rebuild it and make it even longer!
